i have a 10 gal non planted tank with faux plants. There is a 6month old albino bn pleco and 6 blood fins. The tank has a larger filter so there is med amount of current. I was thinking a female or male fighter or female/male dwarf gourmi pair. i was also thinking of adding a couple of dwarf frogs and maybe one black snail but see how it goes with the center piece fish first, the frogs and/or snail might be too much.

any suggestions?

Its a pretty good idea to choose a fish that is aggressive with its own kind and not with other species, then theres no cruelty in keeping it alone, which is well -nice! So a betta isnt a bad idea, at least with your current stocking, and tanksize.

Might be an idea to move the BN on to a bigger tank unless hes tiny, a 10 gal is too small for them, and maybe replace it with a few amano shrimp, and a few plants. If your thinking about DG's, then a few plants will be appreciated by them.

the tank is a little bit of a tight squeeze for the plec even for a bn.

also with a stronger than normal curent the gourami and betta wouldnt like it they prefare still water.

if you want something to go with it maybe a ram of somekind like blue gold or any of the tank bred strains.

or how about a pair of livebearers? they are colourful if thats what you wnated

Maybe a pair of cherry barbs? No too large but they have nice color.

I wouldn't do a pair of livebearers, the male will drive the female crazy Lowest M:F ratio I'd do with them is 1:2

You're pretty well stocked as it is. If you add anything else you would be overstocked IMO
