Acctually I heard they discovered some, but I'm sure there not ready for aquariums yet. I saw it on Daily Planet on the Discovery channel a few weeks ago.

There was some on a nature show not long back with some in the amazon. Also there is a huge lake in Russia with some, but I can not remember its name. These would be very rare creatures, and hopefully are protected.

I was wrong Lake Baikal has freshwater sponges though.

I till believe that some were recently discovered in the Amazon, though.

I just saw a discovery channel special on the amazon, called "Amazon Abyss". They found a whole colony of sponges, Very Cool!

Recently while watching a fishing program they were talking about a fresh water coral in this particular river I """think"""" it was in the tropical parts of Aust, and if I remember correctly it was the only one in Aust.

One thing for sure it was an Australin fishing program.
