Lemon Tetra | |
CoasterCarl999 Hobbyist Posts: 70 Kudos: 77 Votes: 0 Registered: 16-Dec-2003 | I run my school's 55 gl tank. Right now, we have 2 lemon tetras, 3 neon tetras, 2 mollies, 3 swordtails, 1 goldfish, 1 chinese algea eater thingy, 1 plant, 5 rocks, and 2 large snails. We have a really nice filter with huge suction power, and we almost never have to clean the tank. Right now, the pair of lemon tetras have found eachother, and the female is getting pretty darned fat and the male is getting the most vibrant colors in the tank. The current temp in the tank is about 77 degrees Farenheit. We added alot of PH Up to the water today and turned off the light for her. We have the 2 of them in a breeding/Nursery tank that is floating around. The mother doesnt seem to be releasing the eggs yet. We have been feeding her very high quality flake food, but no live yet. She is eating like there will be no tomorrow(whats new there?). I know it might tank a bit longer, but is there anything else I should do to prepare for the new arrival? |

Second, the goldfish gets along fine with the other fish, and he loves the water. And the PH was too low for the lemon tetra to give birth so we raised it. |
