i'm thinking of setting up a new tank and really like silver hatchetfish, plus their cool

anyway i was also going to get a school of corys for the bottom and i know the hatchets stay at the top so what are some fish that could cover the middle of the tank and will get along with the others

thanks for any help

Well, first of all what size of tank are you setting up?

However, pretty much most tetra's would go with the hatchet fish. You could go with neon's, cardinals, black skirts, lemon's, etc.

Or many other species that would make good tankmates. But, it is going to be partially determined by your tank size.

Well with a tank of that size you would probably want to stay with one of the smaller species such as neon's, lemon's or cardinals. Also you could go with maybe a centerpiece fish like a dwarf gourami. I would limit it to the hatchets, the cory's and one other schooling fish though and then possible the centerpiece fish.

There are many other choices of smaller fish that could be placed in the tank so it's really a personal choice of what you really like.
