You could go straight DI and not waste any water, but it's expensive to operate those and you have to keep buying new resin. There are some out there that have "rechargeable" resin, but you have to use chemicals to clean the resin. Those are prety expensive to setup too from what I've seen. However, you can still use the wastewater for other things, like watering plants and whatnot. It doesn't hurt to save the extra water if you do end up buying a unit. |
