I haven't been active on this site in quite a while, so what better way is there to start up again than to show off some pics of my new cichlid

Anyway, I recently bought a cichlid I've had my eyes on for quite some time now, a 3" male Nicaraguan Cichlid, (Hypsophrys nicaraguensis). The thing that drew me to the species, besides its absolute vivid colors, was that is was a supposed "peaceful" CA cichlid. yeah right. Being a nicaraguan cichlid as well as a little devil, i have aptly named hime "Little Nicky" . Unfortunately, my flash washes out most of the colors, so the pics dont nearly do the justice of showing off his iridescent blue dorsal fin and his bright red chest:

Well thats all the pics I could get for now, but when my disobedient camera decides to start working again, I'll try and get some more pics of Little Nicky, as well as some of his tankmates.

Also, I would love to hear from you if you have had any previous experience with this fish, and feel free to post any pics you may also have of this fish

What camera do you have?
Those pics are great though you got a lot of noice on the pics!You use very high ISO?..set down the ISO.
If the flash is to bright to take fish pics you could defuse the flash with a maskingtape or a papertissue like i have done here.

well i took your word, only i cant have a low exposure time without high iso, so this is the only pic that didnt come out as a blurry mess-

That picture is great,nice macro Thats a lovely fish..keep practising and the pics will get better
