OK, here the deal..... I been using Odyssea lights, I like the power compacts I had no problems with them, now that I can find bulbs for them. I had 2 of the HO T5 lights by them and both of them stopped working replaced the bulbs but they still don't work. I know it has to be the starter, in them, but good luck on getting parts. I tried aquatrades.com but they don't have any parts listed for the lights and they have not responded to Emails. So I just going to replace then lights all together. I'm looking at this light: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+11418&pcatid=11418
I will be buying 3 light fixtures, 2 24" and 1 36" light for a new 75 US gal tank I'm working on. So the question is does anyone use these lights, what problems have you had and can you get parts for them.

I will thank you in advance for your input now.

Hi Dj,
When I went to Drsfostersmith.com and typed that link
in, it came back and said that that link was no longer
available.

Thanks FM, It was diffentantly my problem when ordering the lights bilbs and than it became the the suppliers fault after they sent me the wrong ones 3 times. Except for the T5 fixture by odyssea which just stop working after 3 months, those are the lights you are talking about. I did try and contact AquaTraders about the the fixtures and the need to replace fans in 3 of the 6 CF lights but as in the past they do not respond, all they lights are a year old. The reason really for the question is the sateiliaght lights are cheaper than the Odyssea lights now and I was checking on the product itself. to find out if it worth it or will I have to replace the light fixtures with a more know brand.

After the problems I had with the odyssea lights and aquatrades, I did some research and have found that they have a problem of shorting out and catching fire. I found many soties claiming the came home to find ther light melted and wall damage.

Wow DJ, i havent heard that, I emailed them about missing legs on one of my lights, they emailed me back and send new ones out straight away free of charge. One of my bulbs did blow almost a week after i got the light, So i just went to a local LFS and they had the straight pin CF that i needed and I swapped it out.

If you find where the Satelite lights are, I would gladly take a look at them
