I like working at Wal-Mart. It pays pretty good, thank you very much. :%) That means more money for fish supplies.

I get 10% off everything but clearance and food, as mentioned. I bought two tank stands from Wal-Mart, and I got about $20 off of them. :88) The fish food doesn't matter, seeing as how I don't currently own any fish. Wal-Mart doesn't sell saltwater fish food like I need anyway.

The Wal-Mart where I work doesn't sell live fish, so I'm not sure if I get a discount on those or not. I've never tried it.

Yep sure am. Or will be. I am a graduate student in computer science. I move to my new apartment on Anderson this fall. BTW, do you know any good fish stores in the CS/Bryan area?

There are only two pet stores around here, unfortunately. Petco on Texas between Harvey and Holleman, and Pet Stop on Harvey at the intersection with Dartmouth. Pet Stop has a lot of FW and SW fishes, but they are a bit pricey. Houston isn't very far though, and neither is Waco or Austin, and there are lots of good stores there. Waco has a fish store in the middle of the ghetto called North Waco Tropical Fish or something like that, I can't remember, and they get some oddballs at REALLY good prices sometimes. Austin has a place called Amazonia and another called Aquatek that are SUPERB fish stores.

An aggie is someone who goes to Texas A&M. Or NMSU, or UC Davis, or a number of other schools. A lot of schools are the 'Aggies' because there are so many that came out of the 1867 Land Grant. The 'A&M' in Texas A&M stands for Agricultural and Mechanical, because when the school was founded it was a military academy for agriculture and engineering majors. Since then we've expanded a bit and have lots of majors (we are the third largest university in the nation with about 45,000 students), although A&M is still largely an engineering, agriculture, pre-vet, and political science/international studies school. Chances are your vet went to Texas A&M actually. Hope that clears it up Brandi.

He went for vet school. It is one of the top schools for veterinary science. I was going to go there myself when I wanted to be a vet...but that has long since changed

We currently live in DC (although we're originally, and still like to think we're from the Seattle area), we were taking family out to see the caverns while they were here on vacation.

gotcha...I'm in DC too...alot of us just made a trip to the Aquarium in Baltimore when Whetu was visiting me from NZ....didn't know you were in the area otherwise you'd have been pestered to join the fun .

We've been wanting to get out to the aquarium, but since we don't have a car here it makes things a little difficult. Next time people feel like going, give us a shout!

Judging by the graduaion deal, i'd say 17-18

you think I'm that old!? hahaha usually people think I'm 11 since I spend most of my time in a leotard, but I guess I look different in that pic since Im all dressed up. It was 8th grade graduation actually. :%) and I'm going into 10th this september but I dont look any different. I'll be 16 in March.
