Gender: Not easy to determine.
Breeding: Not easy to breed. Use warmer temperatures of around 27-28°C and a pH of about 6.4. Condition with live and frozen food, mosquito larvae works best, choose your plumpest female and put her in the breeding tank along with a male. The male will chase the female around a lot so provide java moss or a tall bushy plant for the female to hide in. When the pair is about to spawn, it will appear the male is chasing the female again, but the glowlight tetra will get close and sort of do a barrel roll and
