not sure what type of barb they are, but my guess is from reading a book along time ago, that it would call it a hexagon barb.(will get a pic soon)

it is around 2 inches, clear-yellow body with 8 verticle stripes. to be more specific, the second to last stripe is slanted like this / .

so far i dont believe they ate anything. does anyone have any info on them.

Do you know whether they are of African or Asian origin? The majority of African Barbs are in the genus Barbus, while Asian Barbs tend to be Puntius.

You might want try sifting through the hundreds of species in those two genera on Fishbase, and see if you have any luck.

i cant really find anything, if anything i believe it is like closly related to the african banded barb, but has alot of notible differences.
