i have a six inch pleco, a young bn pleco, 6 neons, 5 black neons, 5 glowlights, 4 frogs, 5 tiger barbs, 6 rasboras, a male and female dwarf gouramis, upsidedown catfish and 3 clown loaches in a med/heavy planted tank.

ild like to put in some shrimp but not sure if they would live very long. the rock shrimp seem to be very large and look like they could defend themselves.

Get the largest species possible (African Giant Shrimp/Blue Fan Shrimp come to mind), but you'd probably still be risking it with those clown loaches. Crustaceans form a major component of their diet in the wild.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

I agree I think the Clown Loaches would love you for the nice live snack you have provided for them. Even if they are of the large variety I think the Clowns would give them a hard time.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

how would they eat them, bit by bit. i probably should give them frozen shrimp if im thinking of putting in real shrimp. i use to bread those really small snails and put them in for them. other then that they arent use to live food. ild love to breed shrimp but i can see that getting messy.

If this is the tank you are worried about being overstocked, don't add anything else and make the problem worse.

Failing that, i had to move my bamboo shrimp because my clown loaches were harassing them.
