For some reason my carpet looks like its inside out on top of some of my rock. I have never heard of this and just want to know if its normal. He does it off an on.

How much light do you have? Carpets need a lot of light and will do some strange things if they don't have enough light.

The problem with anemones is, once they are light starved, they very rarely recover. If it's not been starved for to long, it may be OK.

Maybe I have an oddball, but I have a carpet in a 55 reef with 2 X 96 watt pc. It stays on the live rock avout 8" under the surface of the water and has been happy for about 7 months (including one pain in the arse move of the tank!). I feed it once to twice a week (krill), and it gets moderate to strong water flow across it. It also has an anemone crab living in it. I have heard they need alot of light, but mine loves life as it is. I hope this helps without being confusing.

Well if this is for the 20 gallon tank that you mentioned in the other topic, then metal halides would be overkill. PCs are fine for a 20 gallon, you might just have to increase the wattage if anything.
